There is wide-spread recognition of the need for fair and equitable home care across Ireland. The Alzheimer Society of Ireland (ASI) therefore welcomed the launch in July 2017 of a public consultation on home care. The first stage of this consultation will run until 2nd October 2017 and you can make your voice heard by completing an online survey here. 

The ASI has also been consulting widely with people with dementia and family carers to prepare a detailed submission on home care.

In addition to this, we are working with 19 other NGOs to highlight the issues this public consultation must address and to call on the Government to faciliate people living with different conditions, including dementia, and family carers to get involved.
