About Waterman's Day Care Services
Waterman's can take up to 20 guests on a day care basis, and is open Monday through Saturday from 9.30am to 4.30pm.
Our centre has a Day Care Wing where the rooms are dedicated to the wide choice of activities. Lifestyle and leisure programmes are designed to meet individual needs and interests. The gardens provide an outside focus for activities as well as a place to simply enjoy.
Nutricious meals are provided daily to our guests, from our own kitchens, and served in a brightly decorated dining room. We have a kitchenette where our guests help with food preparation, and have fun at baking classes, just like at home!
Limited transport services are available, and there is a per day charge for this service.

About Waterman's Respite Care Service
Respite care is provided on a 7 day basis and for a specified period of time, usually 1 to 2 weeks. Waterman's has 9 bedrooms, 6 single and 3 twin, all with en suite facilities. Each of the rooms is designed to assist our guests in finding their way and remembering their own rooms. They are individually color coded, to help guests remember, identified with unique signage and made personal to those in residence. All have nurse call facilities.
We cater for both individuals and couples, with the capacity to provide respite care for up to 11 people at one time, or 9 if all individual guests.
The Respite Care Wing has 2 sitting rooms, both with views out to the front of the centre. One is for evening activities, watching the television, playing cards and just generally keeping occupied. The other is a quiet space, decorated with soft furnishings, which looks out over the bird bath and feeding area of the garden.
For guests with more complex needs, we have a specialist assisted bathroom with large areas for personal care needs.
Respite Care guests can participate in the Day Care activities of Waterman's, which most do, but can also spend quiet time in their own separate sitting rooms or in their bedrooms as they wish.

Waterman's Lodge needs the following information:

Doctor's confirmation of dementia diagnosis.

A copy of the medical prescription, with sufficient medication (in its original packaging) to cover the duration of their stay.

Clearly identified/labelled clothing.

A Contract of Care (and all supporting documentation) must be completed, covering individual needs, and emergency contact details supplied.
