The Alzheimer Society is delighted to provide a new Mobile Information Service to provide information and support to people with dementia and their families in their local communities

A massive thank you to the Peggy Mangan Foundation who raised the funds needed to buy and convert this mini bus into an information service.

The service will travel throughout Ireland and be a presence in towns, villages and cities to raise awareness about dementia and to provide vital information to people who are affected by Alzheimer's and dementia.

  • Wicklow  Bank Holiday Monday 6th 
    • Tinahely Agricultural Show with our local ASI Wicklow staff and volunteers. 
  • Louth - Friday 17th 
    • With our ASI Drogheda Branch for the Fleadh Ceoil.
  • Wicklow - Friday 24th
    • Bray Seafront with Aine Bennett, Dementia Adviser
  • ​Tipperary - Wednesday 29th and Thursday 30th
    • With Dementia Adviser Amy Murphy at a Dementia Awareness event, Old Courthouse, Gaol Rd, Roscrea from 10.30am to 4.30pm


  • Kerry - Tuesday 4th 
    • Bon Secours Hospital, Tralee from 11am to 4pm with Dementia Advisers Amy Murphy and Vanessa Bradbury who will be on hand to give information and support. 
  • Cork - Wednesday 5th
    • Mallow Primary Health Centre from 2pm to 5pm with Dementia Advisers Amy Murphy and Vanessa Bradbury available on the day to answer questions you may have about dementia. 
  • Tipperary - Thursday 6th 
    • With Dementia Advisers, Amy Murphy and Vanessa Bradbury at Cashel Library from 11am to 3pm. Come along and ask our Dementia Advisers any questions or support you are looking for
  • Cork - Friday 7th
    • With Dementia Advisers, Vanessa Bradbury and Amy Murphy at Bantry Market 9.30am to 1.30pm, available to give information and support. 
  • Cork - Saturday 8th
    • Public car park, Fields Supervalu in Skibbereen as part of West Cork Food Festival with Dementia Advisers, Vanessa Bradbury and Amy Murphy. Chat to our Dementia Advisers about any questions you may have about dementia. 
  • Dublin - Wednesday 12th 
    • Visiting the grounds of St. James' Hospital, Dublin 8 from 11am to 2pm
    • Meet and speak with our Dublin & Louth Dementia Advisers: Jean Scanlan & Aine Bennett who will be there to give information and support.
  • Offaly- Tuesday 18th - Thursday 20th   
    • National Ploughing Championships 2018: Screggan.
    • Meet and speak with our ASI Dementia Advisers who will be there to give information and support across all 3 days of the event. 
  • Laois- Saturday 22nd - Friday 28th
    • Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd - ASI Laois branch will have the mobile information service at Mountrath Church car park on Saturday between 6.30-8.30pm and Sunday between 11am-1pm
    • Monday 24th - Abbeyleix District Hospital, Ballinakill Rd, Abbeyleix between 10am-1pm
    • Tuesday 25th - Midland Park Hotel, Laois with PPN's Over 50's Information Afternoon between 2-4.30pm
    • Wednesday 26th - Portarlington Further Education Centre between 11am-12.30pm
    • Wednesday 26th - Rathdowney Day Care Centre, adjacent to church of holy trinity from 2-4pm
    • Thursday 27th - Maryborough Clinic, Stradbally Rd entrance from 12-1pm
    • Thursday 27th - Psychiatry of Later Life, Block Rd, Portlaoise with the Social Club on Tour from 2.30-4.30pm

Fundraising is an extremely important source of revenue for our services and takes place locally across Ireland as well as through national events and campaigns. We aim is to raise €5 million a year.


The Alzheimer Society of Ireland has, since it was founded, campaigned on behalf of people with dementia and their carers to improve the lives of all those affected by dementia.
