Under 65 Family Carer Support Group

A Support Group for family members of people with dementia who are under 65 meets in Dublin on the first Tuesday of each month between 8pm and 10pm.

Person with Dementia Support Group

This is a monthly support group and meeting point for persons with dementia. Meeting on the last Thursday of each month in the afternoon from 2-4pm.

On the second Wednesday of every month, 7-9pm. Turn left immediately before Confey Church. Lots of free parking.

Befriending Service Kildare

Athy Care and Repair Service

A free care and repair service for elderly people in the Athy area. The aim is to provide free basic services such as minor repairs, trade referrals, a quote check service. The initiative, which was launched by Athy Age Action, is run in conjunction with the Social Inclusion Manager of Kildare Leader Partnership, Pat Leogue, and TUS.

The Society was founded in 1982 by a small group of people who were caring for a family member with Alzheimer's Disease or a related dementia. Find out what we do, contact us and more

About our services

We offer a range of services for people with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia, their families and carers. All our services operate using the philosophy of person centred care.

Featured Events

Fundraising is an extremely important source of revenue for our services and takes place locally across Ireland as well as through national events and campaigns. We aim is to raise €5 million a year.

Campaigns

The Alzheimer Society of Ireland has, since it was founded, campaigned on behalf of people with dementia and their carers to improve the lives of all those affected by dementia.
