Open Monday to Friday
As part of the Community Action in Mayo Project, this service works with people with dementia and their families to access information, supports and services throughout the course of the condition. (Monday, Tuesday and half day Wednesday).
As part of the Mayo Community Action on Dementia Project, a trained person will spend time with the person with dementia on a one to one basis.

A Men’s Shed is a dedicated, friendly and welcoming meeting place where men come together and undertake a variety of mutually agreed activities. Men’s Sheds are open to all men regardless of age, background or ability.
Meets on the last Monday of each month. Dementia Cafes provide a warm and welcoming space for people with dementia, their family and friends and social and health care professionals to meet, exchange ideas and learnings. Costs are €2 per person which includes light refreshments and all monies raised go to Western Alzheimers.

We offer a range of services for people with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia, their families and carers. All our services operate using the philosophy of person centred care.
Fundraising is an extremely important source of revenue for our services and takes place locally across Ireland as well as through national events and campaigns. We aim is to raise €5 million a year.
The Alzheimer Society of Ireland has, since it was founded, campaigned on behalf of people with dementia and their carers to improve the lives of all those affected by dementia.
