An Information Event to mark World Alzheimer Week will take place in the Firgrove Hotel in Mitchelstown, Cork on 17th September from 7.30pm to 9.15pm. The theme on the evening is Early Interventions – Signs and Symptoms.

Speakers include Dr. Ciara McGlade, Geriatrician at Mallow General Hospital who will discuss 'Explaining Dementia', Sheena Cadoo, Senior Occupational Therapist (HSE) who will discuss 'Practical Ways of Supporting the Person with Dementia' and Amy Murphy, Dementia Advisor with The Alzheimer Society of Ireland discussing 'Dementia Services in North Cork'.
