Wild Atlantic Cycle Challenge

13th – 14th JULY 2019


 We are delighted to announce our new cycle challenge for 2019 which takes in the beautiful mountain and coastal countryside around Westport and Clew Bay in Co Mayo.

This cycle is an attractive challenge over quiet country roads, allowing you to experience what makes this part of the Wild Atlantic Way such a unique and wonderful place.

Each year the Alzheimer Society of Ireland calls on all budding cyclists to complete a cycle challenge to raise much needed funds for Alzheimer support services throughout Ireland! Fill out our short form below to get your Infomation Pack.

Who can participate?

We cater for cyclists of all levels and even have the option to take a longer route of 135Kms for those who really want to go the extra mile(s)!

In order to participate we ask our cyclists to raise a minimum of €550 (inclusive of €50 deposit) – it’s all to support those living with dementia and their incredible carers, so we won’t stop you if you wish to raise more!

Whats Included?

Your participation fee covers;

  • 1 Nights’ Accommodation on Saturday night the 13th of July in Westport
  • 1 x Dinner at the hotel.
  • 1 x Lunch
  • Snacks stops along the route.
  • ASI branded Cycle Jersey
  • Support vehicles with drivers, mechanical support
  • Cycling guides at the ratio of 1 guide per 10 cyclists.
  • Fully researched route on quiet back roads.
