Later Stage Dementia Care – Blended Learning for Families
We are now recruiting for our Erasmus+ funded family carer training course called Later Stage Dementia Care. You can read more about this course and our other course options here.
This online, 8-week course is a follow-on course from Insights into Dementia/Home Based Care-Home Based Education, which focuses on providing care to a person with advanced dementia.
Content includes:
- Week 1: Welcome to the course
- Week 2: Introduction to Later Stage Dementia Care
- Week 3: Later Stage & End of Life Symptoms
- Week 4: Transitions in Later Stage Dementia Care
- Week 5: Emotional Well-Being for the Person with Dementia
- Week 6: Coping and Self-Care
- Week 7: Person-Centred Communication Approaches
- Week 8: Review, Reflect and Look Ahead
