Services provided by the HSE
There are a range of other services, in addition to those provided by The Alzheimer Society of Ireland, which can provide support and assistance to you and your family.
The HSE provides community supports to help people in their own homes, including the Home Support Service, which aims to support older people to remain in their own homes for as long as possible and to support informal carers.
Other service providers include Family Carer’s Ireland and private home care services.
You may also consider residential care options such as nursing home care.
There is no absolute one right way to build a network of support, rather it may be a combination of different supports over time.
If you would like to talk to someone about these options, call our free and confidential National Helpline at 1800 341 341,
