Due to the Covid-19 some services are suspended but ASI is still supporting people with dementia and their families as our National Helpline; Dementia Advisers; Online Family Carer Training and Home Care are all still running. We have also introduced new online services and supports – Online Support Groups for Family Carers, Virtual Alzheimer Cafe’s and Alternative Activity Therapy
A 1:1 telephone or video conference call with a Dementia Nurse. This creates a space for people with dementia and / or their families to raise issues that may be arising for them during the cocooning phase of the COVID 19 Emergency.
Our Dementia Advisers work with people with dementia, their families and carers to provide a highly responsive and individualised information and signposting service.
We offer training to family carers looking after a loved one with dementia. Family carers can either be the primary carers for the person with dementia or those indirectly involved in caring
We have recently launched a new Online Support Group for Family Carers of People with Dementia to help alleviate the increasing pressure points on family carers during Covid-19.
Our home care service offers dementia specific, person centred care and our trained staff work with clients to ensure that we meet your needs.
Alzheimer Cafes provide a warm and welcoming space for people with dementia, their family and friends, social and health care professionals to meet, exchange ideas and learnings.
Day Care Centres, Respite Centres, Social Clubs, face to face Family Carer Training are all postponed until further notice. Our Social Clubs are for people with dementia, their families or carers.

CST is postponed until further notice. Cognitive Stimulation Therapy, CST, is an evidence-based group intervention for people with mild to moderate dementia.
The service provides a dedicated local point of contact in Roscommon to support people with dementia and their families to live well at home
Laois Resource Centre is closed until further notice. Information and resources are available in the Laois Resource Centre for past/present carers of people with Alzheimer’s/Dementia. Everyone welcome.

Our branch network plays an integral part in helping us achieve our mission to meet the needs of those affected by dementia.
The Centre of Operations are responsible for the overall management of the relevant services in their region.
