Befriend Kildare

Befriend Kildare is a service that facilitates trained volunteers to visit older people in their homes for an hour a week. At present due to Covid-19 we are able to offer telephone befriending to people on a one to one basis where the volunteer and the person are matched and the calls are made once a week, through our referral process.
This service is suitable for people with early or mild dementia. The service can either be self referral or through the referral process form, with permission from the person being referred.
