Overview

The Limerick Dementia Social Club is for Persons with Dementia and their Carers and all seeking support with Dementia.

The Limerick Dementia Social Club is led by volunteer’s with a background in health and social care. The club aims to provide a dementia friendly space for people living with dementia and their carers/family members.

The club aspires to reduce social isolation and promote open discussion, fun activity, acceptance and new learning. Club nights are divided into two parts. In the first hour we may have informative presentations, guest speakers and therapists. In the second hour, attendees enjoy social activities such as singing, music, card games, arts and crafts, raffles, peer support and conversation.

While people can make a small voluntary contribution to the club, there is no charge for attending. Ideas for activities come from the feedback and suggestions of attendees.

Join us the first Wednesday of every month for a chat, cuppa and fun activity.
