Our Dementia Advisers work with people with dementia, their families and carers to provide a highly responsive and individualised information and signposting service.
Dementia Adviser, Maeve Montgomery is available to people living in Cavan, Monaghan and Louth. This service is free and confidential.
Day Care Centres, Respite Centres, Support Groups, Alz Cafes, Social Clubs, face to face Family Carer Training are all postponed until further notice. Alzheimer Cafes provide a warm and welcoming space for people with dementia, their family and friends, social and health care professionals to meet, exchange ideas and learnings.

People with dementia, their families and healthcare professionals can contact the day centre they are interested in.
We ask that a referral form is completed and this form requires confirmation of a diagnosis of dementia from a GP or consultant.

Carers are free to attend on a once off basis, as needs arise, or on a regular basis. Contact the coordinator above to find out more information about attending a support group.

The Centre of Operations are responsible for the overall management of the relevant services in their region.
The North Eastern Centre of Operations covers counties North Dublin, Meath, Westmeath, Louth, Cavan & Monaghan

There are a range of other services, in addition to those provided by The Alzheimer Society of Ireland, which can provide support and assistance to you and your family.
This is an older adults social group and is open for people with dementia to attend.

The Memory Technology Resource Room has assistive technology products on display. People with memory difficulties and their carers will have an opportunity to see a range products and how they work. You can also access expert advice about assistive technology.

The clinical care team are part of a multidisciplinary team that provides specialist mental health services to older people. They work in partnership with GP's, hospitals and other local health care and social services. Majority of clinical care services will require a referral from a GP.
