Virtual Dementia Nurse

A 1:1 telephone or video conference call with a Dementia Nurse. This creates a space for people with dementia and / or their families to raise issues that may be arising for them during the cocooning phase of the COVID 19 Emergency.

Online Family Carer Training

We offer training to family carers looking after a loved one with dementia. Family carers can either be the primary carers for the person with dementia or those indirectly involved in caring

Online Family Carer Supports

We have recently launched a new Online Support Group for Family Carers of People with Dementia to help alleviate the increasing pressure points on family carers during Covid-19.

Alzheimer Cafe

Alzheimer Cafes provide a warm and welcoming space for people with dementia, their family and friends, social and health care professionals to meet, exchange ideas and learnings.

Day Care Services

Day Care Centres, Respite Centres, Social Clubs, face to face Family Carer Training are all postponed until further notice. Our day care centres provide dementia specific, person centred care to meet the needs of the person with dementia.

Due to the Covid-19 public health emergency, respite services provided in the Orchard Respite Centre in Blackrock, Co Dublin will be temporarily suspended from Friday, 27th March 2020. The service will be resumed once we are clear of the current Covid-19 emergency. Be assured that the HSE, the ASI and our service provider, Mowlam Healthcare, are fully committed to resuming services as soon as possible.

The Clinic is a specialised service for people with memory loss, changes in cognitive function and dementia. Clinical Care

Note:

The clinical care team are part of a multidisciplinary team that provides specialist mental health services to older people. They work in partnership with GP's, hospitals and other local health care and social services. Majority of clinical care services will require a referral from a GP.
